Lanoga's Habitat for Humanity Grant Requests

Grant Request Deadline: April 1 of each year

All grant requests need to be postmarked, faxed, or e-mailed to the Lanoga Corporation Headquarters in Redmond, WA by April 1st of each year. Grant requests must include the following:

Contents of the Grant Request

- A detailed material listing, from local store manager, with a cost estimate of materials
- Detailed project description
- Profile of family selected for project
- Indicate if it is a new chapter or a chapter that is new to applying with the Lanoga Corporation
- Determination letter from the IRS for 501(c)(3) status
- Chapter designation letter by National HFH Office in Georgia
- History of the chapter

Grant Awarding Procedures

- Each request is reviewed for selection and material grant amounts.
- Notification is sent, within three weeks of deadline, to chapters informing them whether they were selected to receive a material grant or not.
- For chapters receiving a material grant: A credit balance is given on account at the local store for materials and the chapter is encouraged to contact the nearest store manager as soon as possible to work out details in selection and delivery of materials
- For chapters denied a material grant: the chapter is encouraged to submit a request the following year

Grant Awarding Philosophy

We have a limited material grant budget each year. Our goal is to spread that money to as many chapters as we can, and in the markets we serve. The receipt of a grant in one year is not a guarantee that the chapter will receive a grant in the following year and should not be counted on for budgeting purposes. New chapters typically receive preferential treatment for limited funds. Existing participating chapters are awarded on a modified rotation basis in an effort to spread the budget dollars among as many chapters as possible in meaningful amounts. Every chapter is encouraged to continue submitting material requests each year.
